Lunch At The Zoo
You can choose how your group would like to do lunch at the Zoo.
Let the Zoo coordinate lunch for your group.
We can serve bag lunches that will satisfy your wildest taste buds. You should make final arrangements at least two weeks prior to your visit. Please click here for a printable Bag Lunch order form with more information, or contact the Zoo's catering department at 412.365.6003 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to say if you are participating in an educational program to receive $1 off each bagged lunch!
Purchase lunches from the Zoo's concession stands.
You can pre-pay for lunches and receive Zoo Bucks ($1 increments) to distribute to students and chaperones. Zoo Bucks can be used at all concession stands and Zoo gift shops. After you make your reservation, you will receive an invoice for your trip. You can order Zoo Bucks on your invoice.
Pack your own lunches and sit at any of the Zoo concession areas or benches.
For younger children - chaperones can carry back-packs that contain their assigned student lunches or wagons can be rented for $6 each to pull them around the Zoo. If you have a large group you may want to rent a pavilion for the entire day. There are 3 pavilions to choose from at a special rate just for schools. The Kids Kingdom Pavilion seats 40, is near the Worlds of Discovery Building, and can be rented for $100 for the entire day. The Village Pavilion seats 80, is located at the top of the escalator near the entrance, and can be rented for $125 for the entire day. The PNC Pavilion is located in Water's Edge. If reserved in its entirety, it seats 192 and is $300. If half of the pavilion is reserved, it seats 96 and is $150. Please check the appropriate box on the Field Trip Reservation Form for pavilion rentals.
