Teacher Workshops
Teacher workshops at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium are designed to foster knowledge, appreciation, and awareness of our natural world and to empower educators with innovative and exciting strategies to teach about animals and the conservation of their fragile habitats. Our workshops utilize a multidisciplinary approach that teachers will find easy to incorporate into their curricula. Zoo tours, biofacts, live animal visits, and make-and-take art projects will guarantee an enriching learning experience. The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is a Pennsylvania Department of Education Act 48 Approved Provider.

All of the Zoo's workshops have been developed with the needs of teachers in mind, and all have incorporated Pennsylvania State Standards for Ecology and the Environment and Pennsylvania State Standards for Science and Technology.
