Saturdays and Sundays
The Pittsburgh penguins are gearing up to thrill crowds and strut their stuff for their adoring fans. Of course, we’re talking about the penguins at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium and their appearances in the Zoo’s Penguin Walks, every weekend in January and February at 11:30 a.m.
“Walking outside is a great form of enrichment for the penguins,” says Dwayne Biggs, Curator of Aquatic Life at PPG Aquarium. “They are able to get exercise and it provides visual and physical stimulation with an environment that they don’t normally experience.”
Visitors are invited to line up along the walk route outside of the PPG Aquarium and photos are encouraged!
The penguin walks are scheduled for every weekend in January and February beginning at 11:30 a.m.
* Schedule is subject to change. Please call ahead 412-665-3640 or visit our website and Facebook.
